Recently, the plight of 42-year-old Abdul Razak and his family has gone viral on social media, whereby the family of 5 was forced to live in their Proton Wira for the past 10 months.

Shared by Edi Arjuna Pencerita on Facebook, the story of the family has touched the hearts of many Malaysians who are saddened by their plight, gaining over 4,600 shares and more than 3,500 reactions in just over 1 day.

Edi shared that he was told of the family’s struggles by a friend who met Abdul Razak at a petrol station in the Bentong-Karak area.

He further elaborated that the family has been homeless around Temerloh with the children still being young, with the eldest child no longer going to school due to the family’s financial struggles.

The family has been sleeping in their car over the past 10 months and the father couldn’t find a job despite many attempts.

Due to a family problem, they had to move out of Abdul Razak’s in-laws’ house and the father had to be self-employed by repairing vehicles that breakdown on the highway.

Aaass

Worse, the father is also suffering from an illness, with a growth on his neck that need to undergo an operation.

In an interview with NST, Abdul Razak was quoted as saying,

“Which father, husband, can bear to see his own family living and sleeping in the car, day in and day out? But with no choice or option left, we had to rough it out like this.”

In an update to the Facebook post, Edi shared that the man is currently at Temerloh Hospital for the operation, with his family given temporary accommodation there.

Furthermore, Edi also shared a bank account where kind-hearted Malaysians can donate to Abdul Razak and his family, which received an overwhelming response.

Edi in an update asserted that the amount of donations received has been more than enough and removed the account number from the post. He then thanked all who donated for their generosity.

Awesome! This just goes to show the solidarity between Malaysians in helping each other out and let’s hope that the family can turn around their plight.
