It’s common knowledge at this point to not leave your children in your cars while you run errands. Especially considering there has been kids who have died from heatstroke after being left in their parents’ cars for certain periods of time.
Sadly, there are parents out there who still do not see the problem in leaving their kids behind in their hot cars while they go about their day.
Netizen, @arifjat, took to his Twitter account to showcase a little boy that was left behind in a car with the front windows only slightly opened for ventilation. The little boy could clearly be seen to be in distress.
He wrote, “Look at this, I just found this boy crying in the car, sweating until he is pale. The engine has been turned off and only the front windows were slightly opened. (Are the parents) crazy or what to leave your kid in the car like this while it’s so hot?”
This incident took place at Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur.
After waiting around for the boy’s parents for about 40 minutes (it’s scary to wonder how long the boy had been in the car prior to @arifjat’s arrival), he decided to get the general public’s help to break open the car’s window to get the boy out.
“For roughly about 40 minutes I had waited here but the parents never showed up. So, I asked the general public for help. The latest update is that the boy is safe. We broke the window and took the boy to stay at the nearest clinic,” he explained.
Many have since asked @arifjat if he managed to get the boy’s parents’ reaction to the broken window.
“Since many are asking for the parents’ reaction, after saving the boy, I immediately left the place to go continue my work. So, the boy is under the care of the nearby clinic while waiting for his parents to arrive. So, I didn’t get to meet with the parents,” he added.
We’re so proud of @arifjat and the general public for saving the boy from what could have been a tragedy. We genuinely hope that the boy recovers quickly from the ordeal.
