It seems that people sit on opposite extremes when it comes to durians, either you absolutely love them or completely loathe the king of fruits.

Well, this viral Malaysian woman embodies both, as she loves durians but at the same time, hates their smell. So much so, that she took a rather drastic measure when transporting the king of fruit in her car, which caught the attention of Malaysians.

Going viral on TikTok with over 118,000 views and more than 5,800 likes, the woman, Nani Roslan, shared a video of her taking several boxes of durian pulp for a ‘ride’ on her car in Shah Alam.

Get this, the woman actually put the durians on the front bonnet of her car, right on the windscreen instead of transporting them inside the vehicle.

On the overlaid text of the video, she wrote,

“POV: When you love durian but you can’t stand the smell”

Thankfully, throughout the 34-second video, the boxes of durian stayed put and didn’t fall off the car bonnet.

Malaysians react to the woman’s ‘unique’ way of transporting durians

In the comments section, many Malaysians were amused by the woman’s antics, with a fair amount of people being worried that the durians would fall off or get stolen.

One commenter said that it would all be fine and dandy until some random passersby swooped the durians when the car stopped on the road.

Meanwhile, another commenter said they thought the durians were inside the car at first as they didn’t notice it was on the other side of the windscreen.

Besides that, one Malaysian said that the woman could’ve put the durians in the car boot and opened it for a while after she reached her destination or placed some pandan leaves in the car afterwards to get rid of the durian smell.

So, what do you guys think of the video? Would you do something similar if you’re transporting something that you don’t like the smell of?
