Just when you thought Raya couldn’t get any better, a Tiktok video gained 2.4M views and 202.3K likes shared by @qirahbashah of her sister’s duit-raya spin-the-wheel game blew up the internet! This innovative and fun approach of giving out duit-raya truly amused many netizens on the platform, and it’s not hard to see why.

The woman in red is referred to as ‘Angah’.

In the video, Angah pulls out her phone and asks the boy to ‘spin’ the wheel on the screen. The wheel has two options inside: ‘2 genggam’ (2 handfuls) and ‘1 genggam’ (1 handful).

The suspense builds as the wheel spins, and when it finally lands on ‘1 genggam’ the real fun begins.

Angah then pulls out a shoebox full of coins, adding another level of intrigue to the game. The boy has to take one handful from the shoebox, making the process even more thrilling.

But here’s the kicker: the duit-raya isn’t given out in a traditional raya envelope. Instead, the woman pulls out a transparent plastic bag! It’s a surprising twist that adds to the unique charm of the game.

And with that, the duit-raya is secured!

“We had no idea what my second sister had planned for the occasion, except our eldest sister. And, my second sister, Angah, was in need of some plastic and help separating her coins, so she asked me to help my eldest sister with that”, Qirah told WORLD OF BUZZ.

“When it’s time to distribute the duit-raya, our Angah strategically positioned herself in the front row of the gathering and called out to us for the customary exchange of greetings. We suspect she may have been trying to hide the stash of syiling coins under her chair, haha!” Qirah added.

Qirah also told WORLD OF BUZZ that the idea of giving out “syiling” coins only came to her a day or two before the festivities, as she had forgotten to exchange her paper money. But hey, sometimes the best ideas come to us at the last minute!

Anyways, can you guess how much they got? Comment below!
