Unfortunately, you can’t make everyone happy even when you’re just minding your own business without harming anyone. If you don’t have anything good to say, you might as well remain silent.
In a TikTok post by @paihancing2, the Malaysian man highlighted how supportive words on social media are more than enough to make someone’s day. However, it’s not something everyone is willing to do.
“Life is already tough as it is”
In his clip, Paih asked everyone to just be supportive regardless of what their friends post on their respective social media and not criticising.
“If they start cooking, be supportive instead of asking what the hell is that. If someone who isn’t good in sports starts playing football, don’t laugh but instead say ‘you go girl/boy!'”
Paih gave a couple more examples to make one simple point – give them some praise and words of affirmation.
“Life is already tough as it is and sometimes, social media is the only place where they can be happy after dealing with life problems, so just please let them be!”
He added that sometimes, we might not be able to understand the “weird things” that make people happy but out of kindness, supportive words or at least a like/reaction can make someone’s day.
“If you really don’t have anything good to say, then don’t say anything.”
If there is one thing that Paih is good at, it’s definitely reassuring others that you have his support. In case you’re in his friend lists, do keep yourself updated on social media because he IS interested!
“I want to see your updates! We don’t always talk to each other and social media is the only place where I can see your updates! Do whatever you like!”
In a brief conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Paih once again stressed that we should just let others be happy.
“Everyone wants to be happy. Treat others as how you want to be treated.”
