Life is undeniably tough and many Malaysian families are still racking their brains to think about surviving until their next pay check. There’s only so much they can do with the limited amount of money they have, especially those with kids at home who are still relying on their parents.
How far are you willing to go to survive? Are you willing to put aside your ethics and morality just so that you know you’re financially secured? For a Malaysian teen student, she had no choice but to find a stream of income at an early age to support herself by selling her pictures on social media. She does so by posing seducingly in her school uniform and selling the pictures for as low as RM4.90 each.
She is only 16 years old. An age where she should be safe and sound at school focusing on her academics. In a shocking interview with Kosmo, the girl revealed that she is not the only one involved in the “business”. The youngest girl is 14 years old!
The 16-year-old student revealed that as of now, she has managed to sell around 15 of her seductive pictures in uniform. To appeal to her “customers”, she will put on tight clothes to show off her curves. Her face, however, remains invisible.
The transaction is not just limited to payment for the pictures. For some customers, they will be treated to “special benefits” if they purchase a series of videos of the teens – the opportunity to make friends with the sellers.
“The buyer will be given the real social media account of the seller.”
Same poses, different uniforms
Sadly, these teens do not only pose for their pictures in school uniforms. Some of them came up with the idea of selling their pictures in traditional outfits such as Baju Kurung, or sometimes, sports shirts from their respective schools.
According to the interview, the teens will usually remove their headscarves slowly before rolling their shirts up, followed by performing trending dances.
This is a major concern that not only all authorities should look into but also parents. With gadgets in your children’s hands, it’s only a few clicks away before their mind is tarnished by the ugly side of the internet.
