What would you do if you saw animals in need in a huge fire? Would you risk your own safety to try and rescue the animals or would you just let them go?

In a similar situation that took place in Kajang recently, one brave secondary school student decided to take the former route.

Netizen, Banunisha, took to her TikTok account to showcase the student’s brave rescue operation, after rabbits were discovered to be trapped in a cage during a massive structure fire in Kajang.

She wrote, “Saving rabbits from a fire.”

In the video, the student could be seen balancing on tree branches against a wall above a small river, to try and reach the rabbits that were stuck in a cage while the huge fire raged on.

He managed to break the cage from below and free one of the rabbits but loud popping sounds from the fire caused the second rabbit to run frantically to the other side of the cage.

The student then jumped down to the river to grab a tool and climbed back up to the cage, where he tried his level best to free the second rabbit.

While the video does not show the full rescue attempt, a picture at the end showcased both rabbits safe and sound and Banunisha clarified in the comments of her post that both rabbits were, in fact, rescued.

The student’s immense bravery and kindness towards the rabbits is highly commendable and deserves to be highlighted and championed.
