People who are busy prefer to get domestic helpers when they can afford it.

Recently, a Malaysian singer by the name of Sharifah Zarina shared on her Instagram her experience in getting a foreign domestic helper.

It is said that the helper had run away before 24 hours had passed.

“I don’t know whether I should be angry or I should laugh. I just picked her up at 10pm and she left at 4am.”

In the post, she added CCTV footage of the woman using a plastic chair to climb over the wall with 2 bags.

Sharifah also said that luckily, she hadn’t even transferred the money to the agent but the housekeeper has already run away.

“Her salary is RM1,500 for the first 3 months and she’ll have an increment after that. I don’t even have small children, all my children are old enough to do their own things,” she elaborated.

The singer added that she just wanted the housekeeper to sweep the house once a week and wash the toilets twice a week.

“Actually, I already told her that if she feels that she is not compatible with me, then she should tell me quickly so that I can send her back to the agent.”

After checking her house, Sharifah said that the maid only took her towel and she uploaded this post so that people would be aware of this.

“Be alert! She might show up at your doorstep and ask to be your maid.”

Sharifah is lucky that she has not transferred the money to the agent yet. In fact, runaway maids are not all that uncommon such as in this instance.

However, that is not to say that all foreign domestic helpers are bad as you can see in the article below.
