More than just a summary of our specifications, most Malaysians are used to changing their identification cards (IC) at different intervals in their life.

From aging to getting a new one done due to losing our original cards, most Malaysians go through at least two to three versions of their ICs throughout their lifetime. But what if we were to tell you that you can obtain a piece of your previous cards to keep as memorabilia?

Malaysian TikToker Hanan Rahman recently shared how he managed to obtain a collage of all his past IC pictures in a singular framed image. Discussing the matter on his TikTok page @hananrahman86, Hanan elaborated on how he ordered the item from the National Registration Department (JPN).

In the video, Hanan stated that in accordance with the celebration of Malaysia’s National Registration Day on 1 October, he ordered an item from JPN known as the “Photos of Beautiful Memories” series.

Explaining more about the programme, Hanan stated that there were two kinds that Malaysians could opt for: an individual set or a family set. Choosing the former option, Hanan unboxed the item for his video, and displayed a framed version of all his IC photos collaged into one image.

Briefly reminiscing about each image, Hanan revealed that the first image was from his first IC, the second was in his adulthood, and the third was an image he needed to take when he lost his IC after going for a pilgrimage.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Hanan stated that he had come across the programme while watching a television show promoting it. Doing his own research after that, Hanan eventually came across details of the opportunity on JPN’s official Instagram page @jpnhqofficial.

After that, Hanan just completed a digital form and made payment for his option online. According to Hanan, the individual series had cost him RM75, while the family version was priced at RM150.

“JPN already has a record of your past photos, so you have to provide some information about yourself, and that is about it,” said Hanan to WORLD OF BUZZ.

However, Hanan also revealed that the programme has officially concluded, though JPN does carry out the programme every October in coordination with National Registration Day.

Admiring the images, many Malaysians expressed how nice it would be to have a single photo which somewhat documents their entire life from the time they were old enough to possess an IC.

“Aw, what a loss that I didn’t find out about this earlier,” wrote one user.

Nevertheless, one of the most promising comments came from the official TikTok account belonging to JPN themselves @jpnhqofficial, where they teased that the programme may be initiated in time to come.

“This special collection is only available every October. But why not keep up with our TikTok account and see if we have another special collection coming soon,” wrote the account.
