Taking to Twitter, this netizen shared a sad story of a caller to a local radio station, who was made to live a life of hardship because her husband failed to manage his finances.

Having written the quote: “Imagine only a year into the marriage, seven-months pregnant, you find out that your husband is so deep in debt that there was nothing left of his salary.”

Here is the life story of this caller which was aired on a local morning show.

It was understood that towards the end of the call, the wife was made to work two jobs to help settle her husband’s loans and help with their daily expenses.

Garnering more than 1.7 million views, netizens commenting on the tweet affirms that some civil servants and army personnel have problems with managing their finances.

“As a banker, I can confirm that it’s true. Army personnel’s are most problematic when it comes to personal financing.”

“There are those with only RM2 left in their accounts, but still want to apply for loans.”

“That’s why now army personnel are no longer allowed to apply directly to banks.”

We can only hope and pray that situations like the one this housewife was made to face is a rare occurence and that help will be given by those who are closest to her.
