In a recent post by Nadzmie Mohd Rahiman, dashcam footage shows his parents on their motorcycle in Pasarnita Tanjung, Kuala Terengganu.

The footage captures cars stopping at a red light. When the light turns green, a few cars are seen driving ahead just before a car from the right side attempts to drive straight through, colliding with Nadzmie’s parents on August 1.

He shared an update on the incident on his Facebook

Nadzmie took to Facebook to share the story just 3 days after the incident. He detailed how, around 5:40 PM, his parents were hit by a car at a traffic light.

He explained that when the accident occurred, the traffic light was green, but a car suddenly came from the opposite direction and collided with his dad’s motorcycle.

Nadzmie also mentioned that when he arrived at the scene, he felt uncertain about how to handle the situation and didn’t want to stay there too long.

A driver recorded the incident on his dashcam

Fortunately, a driver who happened to record the incident on his dashcam sent Nadzmie the footage the day after it happened.

Nadzmie provided an update on his parents’ conditions where his dad unfortunately suffered from broken bones just below the knee, a fractured hip bone, and a dislocated spine.

As for his mom, she has a suspected broken rib, but this has not yet been confirmed as she needs another X-ray for verification. She also has a fractured bone near her thigh and is awaiting surgery to have metal plates inserted.

“Despite her condition, her oxygen levels are improving, though she still needs to use the oxygen machine,” he said.

“A lawyer has been appointed to handle this case”

Nadzmie also took the opportunity to thank everyone who showed concern, especially family, friends, and neighbours.

“I apologise to those who called or messaged asking about my parents. I didn’t have the chance to reply sooner. I ask my Facebook friends to pray for my parents’ smooth recovery. Thank you all,” he said.
