Sometimes, a secret we thought we would carry to the grave gets ‘unearthed’ by an unexpected disaster, and a Malaysian man’s trip to Hatyai, Thailand, turned disastrous not only due to the flood, but also because of his ‘colleague’.

With the water levels in Hatyai rising and no way out of the hotel, the man’s wife sought help to rescue him from the place, as their children had been missing their father. The wife then reached out to a woman who has relatives in Hatyai for help.

The man was caught sharing a hotel room with a female ‘colleague’ in Hatyai

The woman then sent help to the said hotel to rescue the man and his ‘colleague’, who became his roommate while in Hatyai. It was then revealed that the ‘colleague’ he’s been sharing a room with in the Southern Thailand city is actually a woman.

In a viral Threads post by the wife’s friend, she said that the man and his ‘roommate’ had spent 4 nights in the room.

Nevertheless, the rescue work continued, but the woman did not reveal whether she had told the wife about the shocking discovery. However, she had a stern reminder for the gentlemen out there.

“Dear men, please have some empathy for your wives. If you don’t feel embarrassed by her, at least have some embarrassment with the Almighty.”

Not the first Malaysian who got caught due to the Southern Thailand floods

Social media users, however, commented and said that the wife should be informed about the matter. Just recently, another man was also caught in a lie after Hatyai was struck by the flood, as the man told his wife that he was headed to Kuala Lumpur for a meeting.

The disaster forced him to reveal his real location – Hatyai, where he visited to “ease his mind.”

Do you think the wife should be informed of the matter?
