At such young ages, these pupils are already part of an amazing achievement.

Just yesterday (14th May), SJKC Kuo Kuang 2, a primary school in Johor, successfully broke the Guinness World Record for organising the largest music class in the world – with a whopping 2,869 students participating! This record was previously held by a Japanese school, with 2,489 students attending the music class at once.

According to Oriental Daily, the official attempt took place at 12.38pm in the school hall and was witnessed by a Guinness World Record judge from London. To break the record, all the students were required to pay attention during the ukulele lesson, and they were not allowed to make noise or leave the venue without permission. Otherwise, the school would be disqualified.

It’s amazing to see how over 2,800 pupils sat quietly in the hall and played the ukuleles along to Baby Shark by Pink Fong in order to accomplish this feat. Duu you know the song?

Here’s the video of them playing the instruments.

The attempt was witnessed by judge Brian, and he confirmed that a new world record was born yesterday! Congratulations!

Kudos to all the teachers and parents who poured their heart and soul into creating this impressive achievement as gathering almost 3,000 pupils to play a musical instrument is not easy!
