M’sian Parents Surprise Son During His Navy Graduation Ceremony in Johor, Leaving Netizens in Tears

Graduating in the navy is a huge achievement in any person’s life. After months of sweat and dedication, celebrating with your loved ones just makes it even better.

In a touching video recently shared by @bibieyvaldepena, she captures the heartwarming moment when she and her husband surprised their son during his graduation ceremony at a Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) base in Pengerang, Johor.

His parents decided to surprise him by pulling off a prank

In the video, a woman can be seen taking pictures of her son. To the son’s surprise, upon reviewing the picture, he realises that his parents were in the background.

@bibieyvaldepena shared that it had been 6 months since she and her husband had seen their son. To celebrate his graduation day, they decided to surprise him.

Following in his father’s footsteps by joining the navy

@bibieyvaldepena revealed how she and her husband had told their son that they couldn’t make it to his graduation ceremony however their daughters would go to represent them instead.

“My daughter took a selfie with my son, but he didn’t know we were behind him, pranking him. That’s why he was shocked when he saw the picture, with us in the background.”

She continued to share how her husband was too in the navy back in 1993, and now he’s in maritime since 2006.

The touching video has certainly stirred emotions among netizens, leading them to flood the comment section with their reactions.

“You’re lucky your parents made the effort to visit you. In my time, I had to travel there and back alone. I didn’t even take any pictures. While other families were busy taking photos, I simply went back to my room to pack my belongings. I nearly broke down and cried.”
