Our healthcare workers are probably the most hard working in the world, especially considering the environment they have to work in and the treatment they receive from both their employers and patients.

Which is why we should all remember to be practice patience should we see a health care worker who may be facing difficulties.

Chun Guan took to his Facebook page to showcase a nurse at Hospital Kuala Lumpur as she works with a drip attached to her hand. Upon asking, Chun Guan found out that the nurse wasn’t feeling too well but had to work anyways because the hospital was understaffed.

He wrote, “While waiting for a letter from the doctor, I saw her at the desk.”

Here’s the conversation he had with the nurse:

Eh Miss, why are you on drips“, he asked to which she replied with a shy smile, “Oh, I’m a little sick.”

Chun Guan further enquired, “Didn’t you take a sick day?”

She smiled again, “There’s not enough people.”

The nurse also allegedly didn’t manage to head back to her hometown for the Hari Raya festivities this year

“She’s a nurse at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, taking drips while on duty. I have asked for her permission to take this photo without showing her face.”

“She is from Terengganu and will only go back for Hari Raya next year,” he added.

With that being said, please be kind to our healthcare workers for you’ll never know just how much stress and tiredness they’re probably under.

We genuinely hope that the nurse gets well soon!
