A Malaysian man was arrested by officers from the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) after he was found to have methamphetamines wrapped in condoms inside his stomach.
It is said that the methamphetamines wrapped in condoms were inserted into his stomach through his rectum.
According to a report by Detik Bali, the man from Johor, known only by his initials ABZ, was arrested at the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on Thursday (September 14), in an operation alongside officers from the Ngurah Rai Middle Type Customs Supervision and Excise Services Office (KPPBC TMP).
The narcotics wrapped in condoms were weighed in at 205.5 grams gross, or 172.18 grams net.
Bali BNN officers then confiscated the evidence obtained from the courier of the Malaysia-Bali drug network and he has since been taken in for further investigation.
“The perpetrator has been detained and his information is still being looked into to uncover other drug networks,” a BNN presentative explained.
Prior to this, the Head of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency has ordered his parties in all regions to take extraordinary measure on the war on drugs.
