Car accidents are the worst. Not only do you have your schedule ruined, but you also lose money, and you even need to be prepared to argue if the other party is uncooperative. But this incident proves otherwise.
Recently, Dr Aniah shared her experience where she was involved in a crash when she dozed off at a traffic light and hit the car right in front of her.
She was amazed at the reaction of the owner of the car in front of her, Dr Loges. Dr Aniah wrote,
“We both drove to a less busy road, got down and she shook my hand while introducing herself. I admitted that I feel asleep and apologised to her. She said that she understood how exhausted I would have felt given that it’s the first day of Ramadhan.”
After that, she wrote that Dr Loges suggested that she should go home first and make the police report later so that she could be back in time for iftar. How thoughtful!
Dr Aniah texted to apologise and how Dr Loges replied made her feel so touched. Dr Loges said that she understood the cause of the accident and wished “Selamat Berbuka Puasa“.
It is such a great way to respond to an intense situation. Some of might have screamed at each other, but Dr Loges was very calm and understanding. At the police station, they bonded, and a new friendship was born.
Dr Loges responded to the Facebook post in the comment section. She wrote,
“As people say, it takes two to tango. I can’t take credit for the whole thing. You have contributed to it largely by being genuine and I just continued to build on that chain.”

The tolerance and understanding showed by both of them were a breath of fresh air with all the negativity highlighted these days.
We should learn from both of them that the best way to solve anything is often with calmness and compassion, and from there, miracles and friendship could happen.
