As Malaysians, one of the necessities when commuting in this country is definitely driving. Just recently, a Malaysian has shared her concerns onto a Facebook page. In her post she said,
“My boyfriend isn’t bad tempered and is usually very nice but whenever he drives, it’s as if he changes into someone I can barely recognise.”
She then continued her post saying that even the slightest inconvenience on the road would send him off. She gave an example where a car was slightly close to her boyfriend’s car, and he went into a rage and wouldn’t stop honking.
“If someone is driving a little slower in front of him, he would purposely tailgate the person and even if I ask him to stop doing that, he will just ignore me”, she added.
She then ended the post saying that she is concerned because the minute they step out of the car, he would return to ‘normal’ and it’s making her feel uncomfortable. Following her post, many netizens have left their comments and here’s what some of them said:
“Maybe he is just stressed! You said so yourself that once he gets off the car, he becomes normal again. Just let him use his car as a place for him to release him emotions and stress.”
“Maybe subconsciously, he thinks that the only place he could actually destress is in the car. You should learn how to be more considerate towards him.
I’m just afraid that if you ask him to change, he may not have a proper destress outlet and once he releases them you wouldn’t be able to fix the mess he causes.”
