It’s no secret that when you’re buying chips, you’re often times also buying a bunch of air that comes with it.
But, considering how chips are packed, you never really know how much chips and how much air you’re getting.
Netizen, ishKatakKacak, took to his TikTok page to showcase an RM2 bag of keropok ikan (fish crackers) being sold at a local grocery store. Thanks to the crackers’ packaging being mostly transparent, it was obvious that the bag only consisted of 10% of crackers and 90% of air.
He wrote, “At least they’re being honest.”
In the video, ishKatakKacak could be seen stumbling upon a shelve of chips at a grocery store. He noticed the RM2 bag of keropok ikan and picked it up.
To his surprise, the packaging for the crackers were transparent, hence you could see exactly how much he was getting for RM2. Shocked by the small amount inside, he assumed that someone had previously opened the bag and opted to pick up another one.
Well, it turns out that the brand of crackers really only contained a tiny amount of about 10% of chips and 90% of air.
Also, the packaging does say ‘Economy pack’, so maybe that’s why there’s only so little inside?
But hey, he’s right, at least the brand is openly showing just how much you’re getting for the price!
