It is now the final season of Attack on Titan and oh boy, how the tables have turned!
Other than Eren Jaeger who has grown incredibly hot and daddy-ish, the constant fan favourite has always been Captain Levi with his cold demeanour.
One woman from Kota Kinabalu, Kathryna Haw has shared how she and her BFF Bethia made a life-sized cardboard cut-out of Levi Ackerman. *Spoiler alert: Cardboard Levi ended up in Bethia’s possession!*
Speaking to World of Buzz, Kathryna shared that the first step to making a standee is to go on a website named The Rasterbator to scale the image to life-size. As the image produced was a little unclear, they used the scale from The Rasterbator and used Adobe InDesign to print out Levi. Kathryna then said that it is important to make sure that the margins are all zero and that they are overlapping so that there will be no gaps!
After that, Kathryna and Bethia printed out Levi on several pieces of A3 paper and proceeded to cut him out. The pieces of paper were then glued on recycled cardboard boxes and cut again. The pieces were joined with glue and tape and a little stand was made with triangular pieces of cardboard.
The duo spent a total of three hours from start to finish to make the Levi standee and as for the cost, they had most of the materials at home, so they estimate it to be less than RM10.
When asked about the inspiration behind this project, Kathryna told us that her best friend Bethia is super into anime. Bethia once told her,
“My boyfriend is Levi.”
With the cost being low and both of them having some time on their hands, they thought: “Why not make it real?” and got to work.
This is certainly BFF goals! What standee will you make? Let us know in the comments.
