As animals are often innocent and defenseless creatures, we as humans feel obliged to care for them and protect them from harm. Although certain animals in the wild are part of food chains where they’d prey on specific creatures and be preyed on by others, what if said animal was considered a pet?

Recently, a couple of Twitter users made a Public Service Announcement (PSA) to warn others of a man who has allegedly been ‘adopting’ kittens to feed his pet Albino snake.

It all kicked off when the man in question had replied to another snake owner by sharing his ‘tip’ which was that him and his friends would often go for free kitten or rabbit adoptions to feed their snakes.

According to Twitter users, the man apparently goes around asking around on the platform if anyone is giving their kittens up for adoption.

In a search for his profile, netizens found disturbing posts regarding his past actions including moments where the alleged animal abuser started feeding kittens to his snake Helga, just because he felt that his snake was getting tired of eating mice.

Whether or not the user is actually feeding his snake kittens is yet to be verified. The man has since disabled both his Instagram and LinkedIn accounts. According to some users, there is no evidence of him even owning a pet snake and was perhaps posting the tweets for attention but at the time of writing.

It is also currently unknown if authorities have been aware of the situation. Whether it was merely for attention or not, animal cruelty is never something to be joked about.
