A recent viral video that’s been going around shows a guy sharing his once-in-a-lifetime experience meeting a former prime minister and local celebrities.

@im_hin_othman posted on his TikTok, where he interviews an ex-convict who spent 4 months in Kajang prison and crossed paths with Datuk Seri Najib Razak and celebrity preacher Azman Syah Alias, famously known as PU Azman.

A specific inmate had access to things that others didn’t

In the video, the man shared his time in prison, mentioning that one particular inmate was considered a “special” case, likely due to his status, referring to Najib Razak. According to the man, Najib was treated differently, with a cell set apart from the others.

“Every time Najib Razak passes by, everyone would shout ‘bossku.’ His cell was pretty different from the rest of ours. He had his own space, a workout bike, and even a computer.”

Besides the ex-Prime Minister, he also met PU Azman and Malaysian singer Yasin Sulaiman, who were in the same prison.

“PU Azman is still the same as he was before, he’s easygoing. As for Yasin, he’s put on a bit of weight since being inside.”

“Everyone is treated the same”

The man went on to share that the longest-serving inmate he met is doing 400 years in prison, basically life to life behind bars.

“Every inmate wears either blue, green, red, or white, depending on their case, but white is for the lightest cases.”

He then explained that he ended up in prison as a victim of circumstances due to a misunderstanding after purchasing a cheap motorcycle.

“I work as a repairman, and one of my customers offered to sell me a motorcycle at a cheap price. Since I didn’t have one and needed it to send my kid to school, I decided to buy it. After the purchase, I discovered that the bike was involved in a case, and the chassis number didn’t match.”

He also noted that whether someone is a minister, a mechanic, or a cleaner, everyone is treated the same once they’re in prison.
