Many of us Malaysians have many opinions about taugeh. It’s understandable that not everyone appreciates it. However, this man clearly displayed his lack of enthusiasm for the beansprout.
A recent incident on social media has stirred up a debate on social media that involves a customer who came up with a creative way to express dissatisfaction over a mistake in his food order.
“No taugeh means no taugeh“
Customer Albert Lai, took it to his Facebook to share his unique method of protest against his food order.
The man expressed his frustration after receiving a plate of fried noodles with taugeh, despite specifically requesting a taugeh-free dish.
According to the post, the customer explained that leaving the noodles and taugeh untouched on the table was a way to teach the shop to be more attentive to their customers’ orders.
The customer emphasized that instead of asking for a replacement dish out of sympathy for the shop, he felt it necessary to make a statement about the oversight.
Netizens quickly flooded the comment section to share their thoughts on the matter where a majority expressed disapproval of his method.
“Why didn’t he request a replacement? Refusing to eat the food just because of taugeh seems like a bit of an overreaction.”
“When you appear smart but turn out not to be so smart. It’s just a simple thing, all he has to do is inform the shop nicely. Never think that you’re perfect.”
“I’m not a fan of taugeh either, but I always remove them from my food myself. I wouldn’t dare dump food like that on the table because I always remind myself that there are people out there struggling to find food.”
“I’m not a fan of taugeh either, but don’t do something like this. It just makes you look sloppy.”
