When car collisions happen, the maintenance fees alone can keep us up all night.

Malaysian doctor and influencer Dr Say Shazril shared the dashcam footage from his Jaguar, in which a Perodua Viva driver accidentally rammed into his car at the back after passing a traffic light. Frustrated, Dr Say parked his car at the side to check on both the damage to his car and the driver of the Viva.

The doctor shared the dashcam footage on his TikTok post @say_shazril0.

The driver at the back, no doubt, suffered major damage in the front part of his car. The hood was severely dented, and the driver’s headlight was damaged.

Dr Say’s Jaguar, on the other hand, had only a minor dent. It’s almost unnoticeable if you don’t take a close peek.

The first thing that probably came through our minds was that it’s going to cost the Viva driver A LOT, not just to fix his car but also the minor damage on the Jaguar.

Regardless, Dr Say decided not to prolong the situation and lodged a police report with the other driver. According to his TikTok post, Dr Say will claim the damages from the other driver’s insurance—the No Claim Discount (NCD).

Dr Say, however, did not disclose why the Viva’s driver accidentally rammed into his car.

Viva lama sy punye adik beradik tak puas hati sy tukaq Jaguar ka ni? Diciumnya pungkok kereta sy smpi hancus waduuuh. Takyah gaduh banyak, terus ke balai kasi selesai. Tapi sedikit kesian untuk NCD Vivanya sorry lah ye.

Regardless, this should serve as a reminder to every road user to pay full attention to the road. It’s not just about the maintenance fees if accidents happen but also about the safety of other road users.
