A recent TikTok video has been making waves online after a seemingly creepy moment was recorded by Malaysian doctor and health advocate, Doctor Izzar Anwari.

In the 14-second clip which was uploaded to his TikTok account @izzaranwari, Dr Izzar, who was driving his car on the Maju Expressway (MEX) in the Klang Valley, caught a moment of a four-wheel drive travelling just inches in front of him. Seeing a figure in the backseat of the car, the video of an eery image can be seen sitting motionless while looking at Dr Izzar.

From afar, the figure can be seen donning something white, covering their entire body, with the exception of their face.

However, after taking a closer look and zooming into the visual a few times, Dr Izzar deduced that it was, in fact, a woman who was wearing a traditional Muslim prayer garment, known in Bahasa Melayu as the telekung, while facing the back of the car.

“Please, if you are sitting and facing the back of the four-wheel drive, there’s no need to wear a white telekung. Thank goodness my spirit was strong at that moment. After reading some prayers with my wife did I actually see what the image actually was,” wrote Dr Izzar in a caption of the video.

Many commenters told Dr Izzar that the person may have been a child or a sticker of an image instead since it was quite motionless. On the other hand, another user even vouched for the visual, saying that they themselves love to look behind when sitting at the back of a car.

“In actuality, the person could have been going for tuition classes while wearing a white telekung,” wrote one user.

Nevertheless, one user in particular cheekily mentioned how they used to sit motionless while facing the back of their car when they were young too, just to scare drivers behind them.

“It would be to the point where people would honk at the car. My dad would also be confused as to why they’d just honk out of nowhere,” the user penned.
