With colleagues, there are always boundaries, especially if you’re married. A Malaysian wife recently shared a heartbreaking discovery: her husband admitted to crossing a boundary with his female colleague, citing “the company’s budget” as his reason.
During a work trip, the man shared a hotel room with the female colleague, claiming the company only had budget for one room.
After 18 years of knowing each other and 13 years of marriage, the woman was heartbroken and shocked by the betrayal. She had sensed something was off at the workplace, but never imagined her husband would share a room with a female colleague. Now, she’s left wondering what may have happened behind closed doors.

The female colleague reportedly has romantic feelings for the man
One night, while searching for her mobile phone, the wife used her husband’s device to call her own number. That’s when a text from the female colleague came in at 2 am simply saying “goodnight,” accompanied by what the wife described as “cute pictures.”
She scrolled up to check previous messages, but they had been deleted.
Suspicious but trying to stay calm, she gave herself space to process. The next morning, her husband said he had to go to the office for work-related matters, despite it being a public holiday.
In an anonymous dilemma shared with a Malaysian radio DJ, the wife discreetly followed him but didn’t have the courage to confront him in person. Instead, she texted him, and he admitted to deleting the messages. He also confessed that the female colleague had feelings for him.
“I cried in the car. He said he removed the texts because he didn’t want to upset me. He said he had told her that he’s married, and that it was impossible for them to be together. She only started texting him less after he told her to stop.”

Then came the work trip, where her husband shared a room with the female colleague and spent the entire night together. The incident shattered the trust built over more than a decade. It crossed her boundaries, and she couldn’t stop questioning what she had done wrong as a wife and mother.
At the time of writing, the couple remains married, but the woman admits she’s in a spiral, questioning herself and struggling to come to terms with what happened.
