Driving in Malaysia can sometimes be unfavourable in most situations. But the most important thing to do as drivers is to be considerate of other fellow vehicle operators on the road when we can.

Malaysian TikTok creator Khaisah recently shared a clip to her page @fikaaeddy_giftbox to discuss an important topic related to traffic in her town of Taman Bahtera in Tanjung Malim, Perak. In the clip, Khaisah recorded the moment where a number of Malaysians cheer for a bus that was able to turn a corner at a juncture in the area.

However, Khaisah eventually revealed why there was such a positive response to a regular bus making a normal spin around the corner.

Showing a moment taken just before that joyful one, Khaisah caught a clip of the same bus, stuck at the same juncture, unable to move due to a car that was parked in an awkward manner at that same corner. Shortly after that, a number of Malaysians can be seen coming to the bus driver’s rescue to help the vehicle move past the corner, but not before traffic could build in a standstill behind them.

“This has happened so many times. This is just the first video I was able to take, the first instance on the same day,” said Khaisah in the video.

Continuing on, Khaisah expressed her frustrations towards those who always force themselves into odd spaces on the Taman Bahtera road just to park their cars. According to the poster, such an action only inconveniences other vehicles who need to pass the same road, including busses and trucks.

At certain points, Khaisah said that it was not out of the ordinary for these cars to reverse themselves out of the area and move along their way, while some situations have seen bus drivers themselves putting a tree branch on the cars blocking the way to alert other drivers who need to pass the same road.

In the caption of her post, Khaisah conveyed her hope that drivers in the area will be more alert and not disrupt traffic by making questionable parking choices there in the future.

“We already know this is a lane for busses, so please have some common sense and inform those who park there for their own good. Hopefully, it will not be an issue that troubles the lives of the bus and car drivers in the future. People who live in this area also won’t be bothered by the loud sounds of car horns in the morning, afternoon, evening, and night,” wrote Khaisah.

Expressing their understanding towards the troubling situation, a few users stated that authorities should inspect the area often, so drivers will not inconvenience those who reside there.

Always remember to follow the designated parking zones for areas wherever you are, and to look out for other road users too.
