The mystery surrounding the disappearance of flight MH370 still baffles everyone to this day. Despite extensive investigations, no new leads have emerged, leaving everyone questioning what truly happened.
According to CNN, Malaysia is considering reopening the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
The aircraft vanished en route from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport on March 8, 2014, resulting in the loss of 227 passengers and 12 crew members.
On Sunday, around 500 relatives and their supporters gathered at a shopping center near Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, for a “remembrance day”. Many of them were visibly overcome with grief.
As the 10th anniversary approached, Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke made a promise to “do everything possible to solve this mystery once and for all”.
Loke stated,
“We’ve made important changes to prevent this tragedy from happening again, but we know there’s still work to be done.”
It’s been reported that the Ministry of Transport is prepared to invite Ocean Infinity to Malaysia to discuss about their no-find, no-fee proposal.
“We’re awaiting Ocean Infinity to suggest suitable dates, and I’m available to meet them whenever they’re ready to come to Malaysia.” Loke said.
Loke also stated how the tragedy is considered a “wake-up call” for both domestic and international aviation.
“As we approach the 10-year anniversary of this heartbreaking event, it’s a reminder of the 10-year journey of sorrow and strength experienced by the victims’ loved ones,” he added.
