MRT Kajang Line Staff Tests Positive For Covid-19

Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd today confirmed that a staff of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) operation of the Kajang line who works as a train operator has been confirmed positive for Covid-19 and is currently quarantined at Sungai Buloh Hospital.

As reported by Bernama, the company will be carrying out disinfection work and cleaning the workplace of the staff based on the guidelines of the Ministry of Health (MOH). A statement by the company mentioned,

“The trains have gone through disinfection and cleaning work every night after operation before this. All other staff who have close contact with the staff have been asked to undergo a 14-day self-screening and quarantine test as stipulated under the MOH’s standard operating procedures (SOP).”

Users are advised to continue following the prescribed SOPs such as wearing face masks, conducting body temperature checks and registering with the MySejahtera application or in the logbook before entering the train to ensure that the spread of Covid-19 can be curbed and the curve can be flattened again.
