The founder of the youth party, Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA), Syed Saddiq recently appeared online a lot with a Malaysian celebrity, Bella Astillah who divorced Aliff Aziz last year after the man was found cheating.
From climbing Mount Kinabalu together in traditional clothes to spending time over meals, politician Syarleena Rashid has a reminder for Syed who has been making gossip headlines over the weeks after he was seen spending a lot of time with Bella.
“Carry out your due diligence or resign”
In her TikTok post, Syarleena reminded Syed about his duty as the Wakil Rakyat (people’s representative) and told him to do his job. However, if Syed finds himself unable to carry out his duty anymore, Syarleena advises him to “release himself of his duty and let someone else do the job.”
Syarleena, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bukit Bendera, Penang clarified that Syed has the right to do as he pleases in his personal time.
“I get it. You want to mingle around with the youths through sports, no problem. You like to travel, no problem.”
“You want to hang out with celebrities, not a problem. But you have to set a good example through your social media, and show that we’re paid to help the people at a full capacity.”
Syarleena also suggested as an MP for Muar, Syed should report more about the ongoing issues in the district, and once again reminded him to let go of his position as Wakil Rakyat if he doesn’t think he can carry the workload anymore.
Syed Saddiq and Bella Astillah were also seen dancing and lip-syncing to Sam Smith’s “La La La”, which was shared on Bella’s Instagram. The time spent and the playful chemistry between the duo also sparked relationship speculations.

Syed, on the other hand, has yet to respond to Syarleena but shared on his Facebook that he was back to the First Term of the 2025 Parliamentary Session, which commenced on February 3 and is expected to last until March 6, 2025, according to Parliament’s official website.
