A death in the family is never easy, and a mother certainly knows the nature of her children.

The recent death of four youths in an illegal race in Penang has made headlines, and many have criticised the deceased for participating in the illegal activity. In response to that, the mother of one of the deceased said that the public should be more mindful of their words.

‘We know our child. People criticise, but they never take our feelings into consideration.’

The mother said her deceased son, Eizreel, only 25, left a wife and two children. Sadly, his wife has to grieve while carrying the third child in her womb.

‘He was a caring & responsible son’

Harian Metro reported that the mother also said her late son had always been good. Not only that, but he was also loving and responsible and his peers who were with him are also good people.

She revealed that Eizreel was a huge fan of motorcycles, so much so that he could build one from scratch.

‘I’ve always reminded him to be safe and not to ride the motorcycle recklessly,’ she added.

She further mentioned that despite being busy at work, mechanic Eizreel would constantly stop by her house for a while. She had no idea that the recent Hari Raya Haji celebrations would be the last time they speak to each other.

It is certainly unfortunate and heartbreaking that a mother has to mourn the loss of her child. All life is precious. Hopefully, this incident and loss will serve as a reminder to the people out there to be wiser prior to making reckless decisions.
