In today’s updates by the Minister of Defence, Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, it has been mentioned that the use of MySejahtera application is compulsory for all businesses nationwide.

This does not mean that other applications such as Selangkah, etc. are prohibited. The other applications can still be used but every business premise must use MySejahtera.

Businesses in small towns or rural areas where the internet connection is bad can be excluded and manual check-ins can be accepted.

The minister has also said that they are planning to gazette the usage of Mysejahtera.

This was prompted by the Minister’s experience of going to the mall on 2nd August and there was no option for Mysejahtera. In the broadcast, he said that he had to check in manually instead.
