Any Malaysian music enthusiast would know and understand the pain that comes with not being able to go out to your favourite venue to enjoy the music of your favourite local artiste due to the Covid-19 Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO). And trust me, your favourite Malaysian musicians are feeling that pain too.

Venuescape 7

Thankfully, Venuescape has found a way for you to enjoy some of the best local and international music from the comfort of your own home (and without having you break any MCO laws, we might add).

What’s more, stand-up comedian, Andrew Netto will be the Emcee for the night!

So, you definitely know you shouldn’t miss this!

Last April, the venue specialist successfully held their very first Stay In Stay Strong Blockdown Festival, a virtual online musical extravaganza that turned your house into a block party, with the sultry, rich sounds of symbolic, multi-lingual Malaysian artistes, and they’re doing it all over again!

Save the date!

The Stay In Stay Strong Blockdown Festival will be streaming live again on the 30th of May, 2020, from 7pm onwards. Audiences can not only look forward to some of the best musicians Malaysia has to offer, but also artistes from Southeast Asia including Singapore, Thailand and India.

Here are just some of the local musicians included in the line up:

Talitha Tan

Venuescape 1

It’s no secret that Talitha’s hauntingly beautiful voice, along with her harmonious melodies make her one of the most sought after musicians in Malaysia!

Kyoto Protocol

Venuescape 2

Kyoto Protocol’s perfect blend of punk rock and grunge accompanied by their electric presence makes for a show worth looking forward (and head banging) to.

Saint Kylo

Venuescape 3

A leading man of acid jazz in Malaysia, Saint Kylo’s sound transcends the divisions of musical genres, making him one of the funkiest, soul brothers Malaysia has to offer. Check him out now!

Crinkle Cut

Venuescape 4

The four ladies of crinkle cut made their mark on the local music scene with their energetic twist on r&b and pop music that make you want to bop to their beat.

Dani Komari

Venuescape 5

Blues and jazz singer, Dani Komari is a rising icon in the local music scene thanks to her ridiculously soulful voice that you have to hear to believe!

And you can virtually catch them all and so many other talented Malaysian and Southeast Asian musicians at Venuescape’s Stay In Stay Strong Blockdown Festival!

This online local star-studded festival is in support of the Social Textiles movement, which not only aims to help produce more PPE suits for frontliners, but also to create opportunities for Malaysians to build a livelihood through the making and distribution of these PPE suits.

Hence, when and where is this festival happening, you ask?

Date: 30 May 2020 (Saturday)
Time: 7pm onwards

Raising funds for frontliners

Additionally, Venuescape is teaming up with the Biji Biji Group, who relentlessly works to produce more PPEs to give back to our frontliners. 100% of the proceeds will be given back to the Social Textiles Initiative to continue their efforts in protecting our frontliners!

We at WORLD OF BUZZ, alongside Venuescape, Fly FM, and the amazing people behind the Social Textiles movement, cannot wait to e-see you there!

It’s gonna be one hell of a sensational stay-at-home night!
