Just a couple of months ago, we were blessed with cooling breezes and cloudy days as the monsoon season was accompanied by cold, non-sweat inducing days.
But sadly, all good things must come to an end.
Yeap, there’s a heat wave. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MET Malaysia) took to their Twitter page to announce the sad news.
They wrote, “A heatwave is a period of unusually high temperatures that exceed the daily maximum temperatures with relatively hot weather conditions. Typically, it can last up to a few days or a few weeks.”
Some of the badly effective areas are Kedah, Perlis, Penang, North Perak, North Terengganu, the inner regions of Kelantan and the inner regions of Pahang.
MET Malaysia advises everyone to drink enough water, reduce outdoor activities, avoid open burning, be savvy on water usage (do not waste water and store water supplies) and not pollute any water sources.
