A recent CCTV footage that was reshared on X shows a group of men impersonating police officers attempting to break into a home. According to the video, they allegedly used a fake excuse, claiming they were there to investigate a “drug lab.”

According to Sinar Harian, a retiree and his family had a terrifying experience when they were robbed by a group of individuals impersonating police officers during a break-in at their home in Semenyih on Sunday (May 4).

They managed to get away with some jewellery and cash

Kajang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof, said the incident occurred at around 5:02 AM while the 55-year-old man was at home with three other family members.

Based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, five unidentified suspects wearing face masks (two of whom were wearing police vests) broke into the victim’s house through the front door.

Naazron added that they then escaped with several pieces of jewellery, two mobile phones, and about RM500 in cash.
