With the 15th General Elections (GE15) right around the corner, the Selangor state government has agreed to make November 18 (Friday) a public holiday.
According to the Media Selangor Twitter page, Selangor Chief Minister YAB MB Amirudin Shari shared that this is to encourage people to vote and to give citizens of other states who work in Selangor the opportunity to return home to vote.
Acting Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has since added that his party is considering implementing the public holiday for the entire country.
