In recent days, Malaysian TikToker ‘Abang Bas’ has been in the news after his arrest for posting videos of children on TikTok with inappropriate captions. Just yesterday, he was seen crying in court after getting charged with 2 sexual offences.

Following the charges, a recent post has caught the attention of many netizens. The post, shared by a woman believed to be the TikToker’s sister, expresses their mum’s feelings about what has happened to her son.

“I miss Abang Bas”

In the post, the TikToker’s alleged sister shared a narrative of their mum, expressing her longing for her son after not seeing him for the past couple of days due to his arrest.

The caption of the post reads,

“For the past few days, Abang Bas hasn’t been around to cuddle with me, lie down in my room, talk to me, or rummage through my things. Whatever he found unappealing, he’d ask me to quickly throw away.”

“May his mistakes be forgiven”

The mum shared how much she misses her son and how the rest of the family, including the nieces and nephews, also misses having him around.

She went on to express her wish that all his mistakes would be forgiven and that he would find the strength needed to face the challenges and trials ahead.

“Even if the whole world criticises him, may he remain special in Your eyes. Only You, Allah, know the truth.”

Despite the widespread outrage among netizens, some people still offered their best wishes and support to the family.

“People with a lot of followers often face such challenges, with many spreading hatred and rumours. Hopefully, everything will be cleared up later, brother.”

“We’re not fanatics, so we shouldn’t speak too much. Our own future isn’t guaranteed to be better. Maybe he made a mistake. If he really had no bad intentions as rumoured, I hope everything works out for him.”

“He could’ve phrased his captions better to avoid misunderstandings. I hope everything gets sorted out smoothly.”

“Next time, avoid posting on TikTok. It might influence others to follow his example, which could lead to worse outcomes. A lesson for Abang Bas.”
