A recent CCTV footage making the rounds online shows four masked men storming a parked car at a gas station and attacking it with machetes.

According to Kosmo, the incident occurred in Johor and was allegedly an attempted robbery that failed after one of the would-be “victims” opened fire from inside the car before the suspects fled.

The suspects smashed the windows of the car

Iskandar Puteri District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner M. Kumarasan, said the case is still under investigation.

The incident is believed to have happened at a petrol station in Johor around 12:11 AM yesterday (June 3).

In the two-minute CCTV footage, a black Honda Accord is seen pulling into a parking spot when a silver Honda Accord suddenly stops behind it.

Four masked men, all wielding machetes, jump out of the silver car and begin smashing the windows of the black vehicle.

Shots were fired from inside the car

The chaos caused witnesses to quickly flee, and it’s believed there were three men inside the targeted car.

One of the passengers then fired several shots at the attackers. All four suspects took off, with some jumping back into their car, while one was seen running toward the main road.

The victims briefly stepped out to make sure the attackers were gone before getting back in and driving off.
