Well, this is certainly something you don’t see every day! A naked man was recently arrested at the Phuket International Airport on January 4, after he caused a disturbance in the international terminal by destroying valuables and flinging his faeces around. What on earth is going on?

According to Phuket News, the culprit was identified as 27-year-old Steven Cho, a South Korean who holds an American passport. He was at the airport waiting to fly to Incheon International Airport at about 11.30pm when he suddenly went nuts.

Cho had removed all his clothes in the terminal and was running around causing trouble when the airport security guards found him in front of the toilet behind the passenger screening point. Six guards, Saku Police officers as well as tourist police officers and staff tried to subdue him and calm him down.

However, he made this even more difficult for them as he started to defecate on the floor, before grabbing and flinging it around at the officers and innocent bystanders. Eeww! The Star reported that in the process, Cho also destroyed items in the airport and surrounding shops.

A video of the baffling scene went viral after commenters said that the man was harmed when the officers had to physically restrain him. However, Phuket International Airport has released a letter explaining the issue and confirmed that they did not harm Cho.

“To control the situation and to prevent any danger that might happen to other passengers, the officers had to arrest the man. The officers brought him to the walkway on the north side of the terminal to avoid other passengers and managed to calm him down at the Tourist Centre on the first floor.”

“When he regained his composure he admitted that he took too many Viagra pills and lost consciousness. He accepted responsibility to reimburse for any damages that he caused. His trip to Incheon was cancelled and he was brought to Saku Police Station for further investigation,” the letter said. Does Viagra really have such side effects?

Cho was sent to the hospital as the Saku police said that he needed further medical attention.

Kudos to the officers for handling the situation well!
