On 24 December, two women and a man were engaged in a verbal argument after the ladies had occupied two cash deposit machines for 25 minutes. Sinchew reported that the incident happened in Singapore at 5.30pm on Monday (24th December).
It was understood that the 39-year-old female employer was there with her employee to bank in money for clients, which is part of their job scope and daily routine.
“There were two cash deposit machines. So my staff and I lined up for separate machines to deposit the cash. When it was my staff’s turn to use the machine, a man behind her kept scolding her in Hokkien,” the employer said.
Since the staff doesn’t understand Hokkien, she ignored the man’s bad temper and kept depositing the cash. That’s when he screamed at her and pushed her. Seeing that, the employer who was done with her part went over to confront the angry man.
When contacted by reporters, the 46-year-old delivery man said he had been waiting in the line for 25 minutes and he couldn’t wait any longer.
“I’ve been waiting for a long time, and the more I wait, the angrier I get. That’s why I scolded her and the reason why I pushed her aside was that I wanted her to line up again,” the man said.
Apparently, the staff was trying to deposit six bundles of cash which the man presumed the value to be SGD 60,000 (approx. RM 180,000). After the staff was done with three bundles, she took out three more, which ticked the man off. Police officers were dispatched to the scene and a kind man who was using the other machine let the impatient man have a go first.
As expected, the incident was captured on video by the women and uploaded on social media together with the man’s address and photos. The post eventually reached the man’s boss who gave him a call and told him, “You’re famous now.”
It is unclear if the man was punished or fired at the time of writing. Btw, What do you guys think of this issue? Let us know in the comments!
