Man Falls From Roof In Johor After Police Caught Him Trying To Break Into A House

A man in Johor was injured after he was caught breaking into a house in Taman Daya.

As according to the Info Roadblock JPJ/POLIS Facebook page, he fell from the roof of the house he was breaking into after police officers had caught him.

LELAKI TERJATUH DARI BUMBUNG SELEPAS PECAH RUMAHJOHOR BAHRU – Seorang lelaki yang memecah masuk sebuah rumah cedera selepas terjatuh dari bumbung di Jalan Bertama Taman Daya, di sini malam semalam.Dalam kejadian pukul 2 pagi, suspek berkenaan yang tidak berbaju terjatuh semasa cuba turun dari bumbung rumah tersebut di kawasan parkir sebelum ditahan pihak polis.Ketua Polis Daerah Johor Bahru Selatan, Asisten Komisioner Mohd. Padzli Mohd. Zain berkata, sebelum itu kehadiran suspek yang berusia 28 tahun disedari penduduk taman itu yang kemudian menghubungi Balai Taman Setia Indah. "Bertindak atas maklumat, pasukan polis Balai Taman Setia Indah bergegas ke tempat kejadian dan mendapati seorang lelaki berada di atas bumbung."Polis menangkap suspek selepas terjatuh dan hasil pemeriksaan terhadap tubuh badan lelaki itu mendapati tiada barang salah ditemui," katanya dalam satu kenyataan, di sini hari ini.Video berdurasi 46 saat yang melihatkan suspek sedang memanjat bumbung sebelum jatuh dengan anggota polis berada di depan rumah tersebut tular dalam media sosial sejak semalam.Mohd. Padzli berkata, suspek kini berada di hospital untuk rawatan dan semakan rekod jenayah mendapatinya mempunyai lima rekod jenayah dan satu rekod kes dadah.Kes tersebut disiasat di bawah Seksyen 457 Kanun Keseksaan. #inforoadblock

They wrote, “A man who was breaking into a house was hurt when he fell from the roof at Jalan Bertama, Taman Daya. During the incident, which happened at 2am, the shirtless suspect fell while trying to get down onto the porch from the roof before police apprehended him.”

South Johor Bahru District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd. Padzli Mohd. Zain said that the residents of the area spotted the 28-year-old suspect and called the Taman Setia Indah station.

“Acting on the information, the Taman Setia Indah station police squad rushed to the scene and found that a man on a roof. Police apprehended the suspect after he fell and examinations on his body found no wrongdoings,” he said.

He also shared that the suspect, who has a past record of five criminal records and one record of a drug case, is currently at a hospital getting treatment.

This case is currently being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
