Addiction is one of the major problems that many people in the world face today as it puts the sufferer in a place where they cannot control themselves, even if they know that their actions could have negative consequences. In some cases, addiction makes people do absurd things that not only affects themselves, but brings harm to those close to them.

A man from India has been addicted to alcohol and gambling for quite some time. His addiction became so bad that one day, he decided to bet his wife while drinking and gambling with a friend and a relative.

According to Daily Mail, the unidentified man often had his friend, Arun, and a relative, Anil, over at his house in the Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh, India. However, one day (it wasn’t revealed exactly when) he ran out of money and having nothing else, he bet his wife during a game of poker.

The worst thing happened next – when he lost the game, he had no choice but to allow the two men to gang-rape his wife!

The woman, who is also unidentified went to her uncle’s house after the gang-rape, but her husband followed her there and asked for forgiveness, saying that he made a mistake by betting her in the game.

After hearing his ‘heartfelt’ apology, she agreed to return home with him.

However, as if allowing his wife to be gang-raped once wasn’t horrible enough, the husband stopped the car on the way home and let his friends gang-rape his wife AGAIN.

After the incident, the woman went to the police station to file a report, but the officers would not take action on her complaint, reported India Today. So she went to the local court and they did eventually register a First Information Report.

Omg! I can’t imagine what the poor woman must’ve gone through. Hopefully, justice is served so that her husband and his friends will pay for their cruel actions.
