What horrible abuse this young student was subjected to!

According to Malaysiakini, a police report was lodged against a primary school Mathematics teacher for abusing one of his pupils. The incident reportedly occurred yesterday morning (12th July) at a primary school in Port Dickson.

The victim, Mohamad Fikri Said, who is only 8-years-old, was playing with his classmates while a teacher was conducting a lesson.

Enraged by the boy’s playful behaviour, the teacher then proceeded to punish the boy by heating a metal sharpener. He did so by rubbing the metal sharpener vigorously on the floor. When the sharpener became hot enough, he then placed it on the boy’s cheek in three different spots.

“The teacher did not stop there. He also slapped my son several times on the spot where the wounds were,” said the boy’s father, Said Sudu at a press conference arranged by PKR assemblyperson for Port Dickson, M. Ravi.

Fikri’s father was reportedly shocked when he saw his son’s wounds after coming home from work, prompting him to take his son to a nearby clinic for treatment.

Said also stated at the press conference that he already reported the abusive teacher to the police yesterday morning.

“Is this how a teacher should behave? I will not rest until this case is settled.”

According to M. Ravi, many lawyers have offered to take the young boy’s case to court on a pro bono basis.

Well, at the rate things are going, this teacher will be facing the consequences of his actions very soon!
