Just recently, yet another Malaysian lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the road curb, no thanks to a ruthless tow truck driver who allegedly spilt oil on the road. The incident took place in Subang Jaya, Selangor.
A netizen known as Jason shared what happened to his friend on Facebook. Here’s what he said.
“Today, a friend of mine fell victim to the tow truck operator’s ‘oily road tactic’. Immediately after he crashed his truck, a guy appeared and offered him a tow truck service.
Luckily, the victim was aware of the dirty tactic and decided to call his insurance company, instead of giving the crook business. Shockingly, the lawless tow truck guy had the audacity to say,
“Go ahead and call your own tow truck, this is my territory, he has to go through me anyway”.
After taunting the victim and his friend, the driver shamelessly waited there from 6pm to 9pm. Looks like he really wanted to cheat their money badly.
“When our tow truck came, he went off. Good part about this was we got to experience breaking fast at the side of the highway.”
“This stretch of the road leads to Subang Parade and SS15. There’s a U-turn up ahead. So please be careful when using that stretch.”
“Please remember if you get into an accident, call your insurance company right away. Do not let these tow truck guys touch your car. It will come out worse than before.”
The post went viral with over 4,000 shares in just three days. Many netizens also shared their similar experience in the comment section.
“This is the exact same spot where my cousin skidded due to the oil on the road,” a netizen said.
“Another famous spot is near old Istana Negara on federal highway. I’ve seen so many car accidents at the same spot. They (tow truck drivers) would hide under the bridge near the exit of federal highway. I witness an accident there almost every week,” another netizen commented.
So guys, please be careful if you travel on this stretch of road frequently as oily roads can easily cause a car to spin out of control.
