Ride-hailing apps have really made our lives easier. With just a few taps on our phone, we are able to get a car to transport us from point A to point B. Without getting cheated by high fares too!

While almost all of us have taken these rides safely practically everyday, sometimes some of us are unfortunate and encounter some unscrupulous drivers.

A Facebook user, Eddy Ong recently shared his experience not as a passenger, but as a good Samaritan helping a poor pregnant lady who allegedly got robbed when she was taking an Uber ride.

He recounts his story how he was on his way home when he spotted a very distressed lady.

Apparently, the lady who was pregnant was robbed by her UBER driver, at knife point too! After pleading for her and her baby’s life, the robbers let her go.

Fortunately she already sent the driver’s information to her husband prior to getting into a car. And before getting her mobile stolen.

After hearing her story, the kind Eddy sent her to the police station to file a report.

The lady reveals that she uses Uber very often.

“She told me she is a regular Uber user and always took Uber home but never thought that she would be a victim of such an incident.

“So, people, please be cautious and alert when you are taking rides from any ride-hailing apps.”

The lady lost several valuables such as her engagement ring, bracelets, mobile phones and watch.

We should always be aware of our surroundings and should not get into the car if you see something amiss!
