In Kuching, a restaurant known as CH Premier Restaurant is using robots to serve food to their customers, probably the very first in Malaysia. This unique initiative has successfully landed them in The Malaysia Book Of Records. Congratz!

According to Sinchew, the restaurant officially opened on 21 December and is located in Premier 101 Commercial Centrel Tun Jugah. There are currently 4 robots in operation, namely Goddess 1 to 3 and Loli. In terms of size, Goddess stands at 156 cm and weighs 40 kg while Loli stands at 110 cm and weighs 35 kg.

According to Tantannews, these robotic servants can interact with customers in fluent Mandarin. Some of the phrases coded into the robots were “Thank you” and “Enjoy your meal”.

Magnetic lines were installed on the floor to set the course for the robots. This will ensure the food delivered to the customers are in an orderly manner.

The clever robots would maintain a safe distance of 15 cm from obstacles and ask the person to give way before proceeding.

Aside from that, there are also smaller robots which can dance! Think of it as a Chinese Chuck E. Cheese!
