A video has been circulating on social media recently, showing how a lorry on an unnamed road in Malaysia ‘cosplaying’ as a tow truck by dangerously carrying a car on its trailer.
Worse, the lorry is obviously not meant to carry a vehicle of that size on its trailer, with the car’s rear end dangling beyond the lorry, creating a hazard for other road users.
The 13-second video, reposted on X by user @nanmanjoi8715 has garnered the concern of Malaysians in the reply, with many asking where is the relevant authorities.
The video was recorded from inside a vehicle which was driven on the right side of the lorry while passing it by, showing a closer look at how dangerous the heavy vehicle was while carrying a car beyond its load.
Besides that, the car was covered by a canvas, hence it was not visible how it was secured to the lorry and whether it was actually safely secured to the trailer.

In the X post’s replies, many were enraged by the incident, with many calling out the relevant authorities for letting these sorts of road offences happen.
One netizen commented sarcastically, saying that as long as a minister’s family is not affected by such an incident, no action will be taken. Meanwhile, another sarcastic comment claimed that in the eyes of the authorities, this was okay and tinted windows are more dangerous.
Besides that, another commenter claimed that lorries carrying a car on their trailer have actually become a common occurrence in our country and shared a photo of a similar incident.
