Lorry Driver Dies After Crashing Into Car, Bus Stop and Eatery

An accident occurred in Jalan Hulu Langat at 12:00 pm today that resulted in the death of a lorry driver who drove and crashed into another vehicle, a bus stop and an eatery.

Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan, the Kajang District Police Chief, stated that the 58-year-old victim drove the lorry and didn’t notice a car that was parked on the shoulder of the road. He failed to dodge the vehicle and lost control of his lorry.

This led to the victim crashing his lorry onto the side of the car, the bus stop, and a restaurant nearby. The victim was found dead at the scene of the accident.

According to Astro Awani, officials have also discovered during the preliminary investigations that the victim might have had health problems while driving the lorry. The victim’s body is taken to Serdang Hospital for an autopsy.

The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
