However, how many of us actually have the guts to walk the talk?
A&I Lookbook & Lifestyle, a TikTok account focusing on luxury fashion and lifestyle, recently shared a video on how one can attain the “Tai Tai” life.
If you did not know, a “Tai Tai” is a wealthy married woman who does not work.
The 6 second video has gone viral with more than 600,000 views and is on recommendations on restaurants where one may meet a potential rich husband.
The text in the video reads, “Looking for a rich husband? (Here are) two restaurants where T20s are normally sighted.”
The restaurants were Alexis Bistro (especially the Bangsar branch) and Dome, the KLCC branch.
The creator of the video also urged netizens to suggest other restaurants or to disagree with the recommendations given.
Restaurant recommendations
Excited by the content, many netizens shared their restaurant recommendations.
“Deen Maju Mamak; look who orders the squid, crab and lobster without asking about the price or opening their wallet,” said one netizen.
They also specifically said that if you are looking for a Caucasian man, head to PAUL @ Intermark Mall or the area around Hartamas.
“La Bodega and Sebastian’s Gastro Bar also has a lot of T20 people and expats,” suggested another.
Concerns and suggestions
Additionally, a few netizens expressed concerns about this method of looking for a partner.
“The problem is whether these T20 people want to spare us normal people a glance.”
“No, now we have to know if they’re single or already somebody’s husband,” said a netizen.
Whereas one netizen shared how she was able to meet many wealthy individuals through one connection.
“From my experience, I first connected with just one CEO. He was very impressed with me, so he introduced me to all his contacts. We have to watch our behaviour, just relax,” said the user.
