“No one has ever become poor by giving” – Anne Frank.

It’s only 1 week of Ramadhan and while Raya is still 3 weeks away, many people have started to plan their journey back to their hometown. Tickets for trains, buses, and planes are selling like hotcakes as the festive season kicks in slowly. In case you’re out of luck to purchase the tickets, a local influencer, Hafiz Mahamad might just save you from the burden.

On his Instagram story yesterday (March 29), Hafiz revealed that he’s sponsoring 10 buses for those who are headed back to their hometown for Raya.

“Hopefully, the 10 buses will help those in need. The tickets might be selling out anytime soon.”

Hafiz also revealed that he was on the way to a meeting to monitor the progress on the matter.

“This year, I plan to ease the management of the tickets, so that you can register easily when the time comes,” Hafiz explained.

Safety and comfort guaranteed

Besides sponsoring 10 buses, passengers’ safety and comfort are also his top priority. Hafiz is also ensuring he hires only fit and eligible drivers.

“Only drivers below the age of 40 and with more than 10 years of experience are allowed to drive the buses. This is done to ensure safety.”

Hafiz said that the selection of drivers is a crucial part of his “safety measurement”.

“I’m trying to give my best so that you can be safe and comfortable in the bus, and so that you get to see your parents back at home,” Hafiz added.

In another IG story, Hafiz also revealed that the passengers will be gathering at a spot beside Stadium Shah Alam before they board the buses. As of today (March 30), Hafiz is still in the midst of discussion and has yet to reveal the date and time to board the buses.

Last year, Hafiz did the same by sponsoring a total of 12 buses for those in need to go back to their hometown for Raya.

Hopefully, his sponsorship will help those in need to go back and celebrate Raya with their respective families. Fellow Muslim friends, have you started your Raya preparation?
